In 12 months this site has had 1,761,135 unique page hits, making this site quite probably the most visited shipping website globally in 2009 To all visitors 'I thank you' for looking and I hope you found what you were looking for. From the 'Freefind Searchbox' I can access the most frequent searches of enquiry and am personally amazed at the intensity of certain 'searches' but no personal enquiry where information wasn't available onsite. I have my contact details stated on homepage and answer every enquiry to best of my knowledge. In that area grateful enquirees have gotten information about a certain vessel before I had listed such in its respective fleet online. One of the few reasons I haven't all fleets Australian online is the ongoing research in compiling and completing such information. Know that I have probably 90 plus % information on the remaining fleets unlisted and can help wherever I can. Don't be shy in asking With regard to those seeking Passenger Lists of Migrants etc - Click on Gould Genealogy - this site's sponsor for that very specific reason Enquirees of Foreign vessels (ie: not Australian owned or operated) see 'Links' Page for a more direct approach globally

Flotilla-Australia website recognises vessels 'with' engine propulsion, whether or not they also had sails.
It took a ship to discover AUSTRALIA , and since, many great vessels fully Australian built and owned have been plying our coastal ports and international waters. Those aboard, as crew, officers and passengers have their own memories and, where a picture is worth a thousand words, so then each image shown on this site have a story. This site itself is incomplete, as information is scarce, but with viewers' contributions, this site can evolve into a brilliant online historical record, in picture and word, of Australia's shipping history. Note here that passenger and merchant vessels, from Steam power onwards, are the mainstay of this site, as pure naval vessels are very well covered by dedicated naval historians in other sites. See
LINKS. Further, images of the ships viewed here, where known, are mostly recognised and accredited to their source. Where readers make a contribution, full acknowledgement will be given with thanks! Links to relevant websites will also be given full consideration. ENJOY ! Just added 'Search box' below or click on direct links as stated beneath that search box and / or links as stated left pane
Added updated regularly (almost) more owner and vessel additions, information and images
